Our objective is to maintain the current environment for future generations and to promote sustainable practice for all. Woodhall Country Park understands that it must act in a responsible manner and take steps to reduce any harmful effects its operations have on both the local and global environment and is committed to reducing them.
Woodhall Country Park will measure its impact on the environment and set targets for ongoing improvement.
The Company will comply with all relevant environmental legislation.
The Company will implement a training program for its staff to raise awareness of environmental issues and enlist their support in improving the Company’s performance.
Woodhall Country Park will encourage the adoption of similar principles by its suppliers.
The key points to achieving this strategy and the commitment we are making are:
- Minimise waste by evaluating operations and ensuring they are as efficient as possible.
- Actively promote recycling both internally and amongst its customers and suppliers.
- Source and promote a product range to minimise the environmental impact of both production and distribution. Using local suppliers wherever possible.
- Meet or exceed all the environmental legislation that relates to the Company.
- Offset the greenhouse gas emissions generated by our customers by planting 15,000 trees on The Woodhall Estate.
- Move the business towards “paperless” procedures and commit to using recycled paper whenever possible.
- Work in conjunction with the local authority (ELDC), Forestry Commission, Natural England, RSPB, Lincolnshire Wildlife Trust, Lincolnshire Biodiversity Partnership & other relevant organisations.
- We are committed to creating an oasis for wildlife that is home to as wide a range of flora and fauna as possible whilst providing visitors with a pleasurable and environmentally rich park to enjoy and explore.
